Ok I frequent the Librarium Online Tau Forums. Recently a bit of a rules debate has heated up that might make some of the Tau's best 'Crisis' suit load outs illegal.

The argument is that since in our Codex Page 25 Twin-linked Weapon systems count as Two Battlesuit Weapon Systems they need a Multi-tracker to fire since the Multi-Tracker (Page 26) says that it allows us to fire two Battlesuit weapoin systems.

I personally disagree with this interpretation of the rules and think it is just more bad writing from GW that they have not (and probably never will) get around to fixing.

I would like a call on this so I can get back to making my 'Ard Boyz list please and Thank you

Edit: According to somebody on Librarium he called GW and they said that a Multi-Tracker is not required to fire Twin-Linked weapons.)

I'm not going to be the judge for our 'Ard Boyz event, but I don't see any merit behind that interpretation. After two thorough rereads, I cannot find any wording in the Tau codex that suggests to me that a twin linked system cannot fire without a multi-tracker. There may be a reasonable argument in the idea that a tl system will not allow you to fire further weapons with the tracker, but I gather that's not the main issue.

Rachel will be our judge on the day and I will check over my interpretation with her on Friday. I wouldn't worry too much about it while building your list.
