Due to overwhelming response from participants, we need a few more GM's for the Tolkien Moot convention this July 15, 16, 17. You do not have to GM all 3 days (though you are welcome to if you can), we have different sessions needing different quantities of GM's at different time.

If interested and available, please have the following minimum qualifications:
* Minimum 3 years RPG GM/DM experience (any system)
* Some "feel" for Tolkien's Middle-earth (movies acceptable, books preferred)

We allow any game system adapted to Middle-earth. If you have the above qualifications but do not have experience with a Middle-earth-based game system, that is okay. We have two easy to use choices available for you.

1. Ea d20 RPG, just D&D 3.5 with the races replaced, and optional rules for magic http://www.earpg.com
2. Ea RPG Basic Rules - as simple as an RPG can get, d6-based, super simple.

Of course, if you have experience with any Tolkien-based or Tolkien-adapted RPG (such as ICE MERP, Decipher LotR, Cubicle7 LotR, GURPS for Middle-earth, BRP for Middle-earth, Harnmaster, Ambarquenta, Hither-lands, HERO for MIddle-earth, or others), you are welcome to GM your preferred system, though we may need you to help make characters in advance if it is a system our volunteers aren't previously familiar with).

If you have prior D&D 3.5 experience, all the core mechanics are identical in Ea d20 RPG. And the races book is only for character generation (we create all the characters in advanced), so don't be intimidated by the couple hundred page book. The magic rules are optional, and only take a few minutes to read and understand.

If you are not that comfortable with D&D 3.5, and do not have another preferred Tolkien-based system, then Ea RPG Basic Rules will work. Character creation only takes 5 minutes, and is as simple as an RPG can be.

Yeesh its a bit short notice but I'll see if I can come up with an idea for a campaign to run. Are you looking for Middle Earth-esque games (humans, elves, dwarves, halflings in a general fantasy setting) or Middle Earth-only games (Humans of Gondor/Rohan with Hobbits of the Shire set somewhere within the land of Middle Earth at some point in the official canon storyline)?

I'll start brainstorming some ideas and I'll contact you if I can come up with something that will be ready in time for the con. I'd like to find a way to help out, especially if you don't make DM's pay to run games at your con like SpoCon does.

Nah... All that is required for this con is a healthy dose of elitism.
