Hi, I logged in and added the 'Short Bus Posse' (my orc team) since I have not found any DE yet.

I was curious, does this league use existing teams from last season? If so, would it be possible to use my existing team from our Warsmith league that is no dying a slow death? It's my orc team with 6 or 7 games under it's belt. The only non-regular advances (two +st advances) were witnessed by Scotty Spicer and zguillotine's (forget his real name) son Patrick. Otherwise the team is a pretty average orc team (if there is such a thing).

I'll post the full roster if it helps.

Hmmm... it added you as team #0. Something must have transfered wrong. I can't logon to the old site (one of the reasons I switched) to see what's different. Hopefully I'll have it fixed soon and we'll make sure the Short Bus is added okay.

As for adding a team that's already got some games under it's belt, I have mixed feelings on it. On one hand, I like the idea of the league being built from scratch, all the teams grew up in the league. On the other hand, at least 5 of the games from last season were against teams that are no longer part of the league. Your team is on about the same level as the other top teams in the league and not that far along, so what's the harm in adding them?

I'd say I'm okay with it but of course Mike has the final say. And we just barely convinced him not to add his monster team last season.

sorry Graham, but I must say no to allowing "old teams" in as I have said no to a lot of teams already, and allowing anyone to have one will only cause problems

so all teams in the current leagues must "originate" within the current system.

Sorry about the webpage, Ordrek. Last time it added you as Team #0 which was no team at all. I think it's set up as team #21 now so you can add and remove players. However, there is still one bug I haven't tracked down yet that only allows you to add one player at a time. Hopefully, I'll have it figured out soon.

P.S.S. I think I'll get rid of MVPs on the front page. We're not awarding anything for it, and it's not like it's an accomplishment.

So, given that I'll have a rookie team, is it smart to just stick with the lower division? I don't know how rough the experienced teams are, assuming they are allowed.

Graham, right now the most games any team has is I think 13, Matt's Chaos, Then 12 for the lizards then there are 2 teams at around 8 each.

Josh's team will be new, Dana's will also be new, and I noticed that Josh (scipio) might be interested as well.

Since only 6 games are scheduled (and 6 others) You could potentially play your week 1 game with 6 games under your belt, thats if you went crazy and played all your pick ups right away.

Lower division teams:

A team in the lower division has no cap on games other than it may not play the same coach more than twice in a row.

The lower division games are all pick up games no schedule will be made for lower division games. (also all games must be reported on the website).

However, they are not eligible for the end of the season tourney or awards. At the start of the following season they may move up into the upper division.


***NEW RULE***

In an effort to alleviate the new team syndrome, TV 100 teams that are starting in the Upper Division are allowed up to 2 more "pick up games" during their inagural season.

I think I've gotten the bugs worked out. Ordrek and brushman should be able to actually create their teams now. Log on and go to "Manage your Teams" then add the players, rerolls, and fan factors.

My team is up. I just need to get home to remember my players' names.

One thing I noticed that was wrong with team creation: It starts you with 1 FF. You are not required to purchase any starting FF in LRB5.0.

Oh, thats right I forgot about that, I'm sure Sean can fix that pretty easily.

Hmmm... yeah. I'll look into that. If you want to start with 0 FF, I can change the database by hand. Did you want to start with 0 FF?

Yes, please. FF is worth less and easier to come by in LRB5 (at least early on). I'd rather be sure to have my apo after game 1 (shouldn't be hard with +20k from rookie bonus).
