Medusa V is a world that burns with the heat of battle and shudders beneath a million marching feet. It is a doomed planet, with a cataclysmic Warp storm descending upon it. All life will soon be scoured from its blighted surface. Only you, through your games of Warhammer 40,000, can determine if victory can be salvaged from this planet's death.

Make no mistake — Medusa V will die.

This is the setting for this year's global 40K campaign: The Fall of Medusa V.

I'm up for Medusa V ranked games, I'm down at the store Wednesdays & Sundays usually, I'll definitely make more of an effort if someone posts on the forums that they're coming down.

No one really won. Basically the results were really skewed funny, and depending on how you looked at it different people won. In the grand scheme of things though the Imperium basically won. The Marines and Guard managed to get enough people out of Medusa V before the warp storm hit. The Chaos and Necrons did not reach their goals, the Eldar managed to close off their webway gates on the planet (so nothing happened there), and the Dark Eldar had their nifty Medusa V character die (once again, no change to them.) The Tyranids really didn't do anything special, and it is "unclear" whether the crazy uber-lictor strain escaped the warp storm or not (though it's highly likely based on evidence provided). The Tau decided once and for all that the Warp is a no no (about time, right?) and the Orks did their thing.

Basically nothing changed and everything is as it was, just Medusa V is engulfed in a warp storm. The status quo was maintained and the 40k Universe really wouldn't be too different if Medusa V hadn't happened. The consensus among the larger 40k community from what I've seen is that the end of Medusa V was just a big let down and lots of people think GW fudged the scores a bit.
