Merlyn's is hosting a Dragon's Maze Pro Tour Qualifier!

Qualifier tournaments are where the game really gets serious. The excitement level is high and the stakes are even higher. Players the world over converge with a common goal in mind -- an invitation to the Pro Tour, which could include an airplane ticket to the next Pro Tour location.

Pro Tour Qualifiers are one-day tournaments offering invitations to the next Pro Tour stop. Formats are varied at Pro Tour Qualifiers, with Constructed and Limited formats seeing action during different seasons.

Pro Tour Dragon's Maze will be held in San Diego on May 17-19. The winner of our Qualifier event receives an invitation and paid airfare to compete at the Pro Tour!

You can register the day of the event between 9:00 and 10:00. After 10:00 we will seat players for announcements and decklist collection. Play will begin at 10:30.

This is a Competetive REL (Rules Enforcement Level) tournament, and decklists will be required. Players are also responsible for pencil, paper, counters and any other necessary game materials. You may complete a decklist in advance, using the form linked at the bottom of this page, but we strongly advise that you double check your list on the morning of the event. Lists submitted on a different form will not be accepted.

This tournament will consist of 50 minute Swiss rounds, with the number determined by attendance, then a cut to a Single-Elimination top 8.

Prizes will be determined by attendance.
The MINIMUM prize structure will be:
1st- PT Dragon's Maze Invitation, Top 8 playmat, at least 1 box of boosters
2nd-4th- Top 8 playmat, at least 1 box of boosters
5th-8th- Top 8 playmat, booster prizes
All booster prizes can be awarded as credit equivalent toward comics, games, or anything else in the store.

We'll be firing Single Elimination 8 person draft, modern and Standard queues as they fill, if there are available tables. Drafts are $12.99 entry, Standard is $2.99.
