Well we did the southern Kursk front. People kept joining so it ended up being played over 2 days on a 36 foot table. The first day the germans were on the offensive with 4 companys of panthers in the middle. flanked by a heavy tank battalion, (Tigers) and supported by 6 elephants. Flanks were held by Panzer 3s, Panzer 4s, and Stugs. Germans totaled a little over a 100 tanks and support. We had 285 tanks mixed mediums, SUs and light tanks. Armored cars for recon. Russian artillery lined the edge. As a russian we decided to hold the center and attack the flanks. As it turned out we destroyed the german flanks, but there heavies broke through, thus ended day one. Day 2 was a russian counter attack with the same force and the germans could bring back 30 per cent of his losses. In a unbelievable struggle the russians finally broke through while isolated german heavy tanks fought back. It was great fun. We had 13 players and everyone had there day on the battlefield.
