The next Marvel Heroclix set will be called Giant-Size X-Men. It is probably coming out in March or early April.
The "Giant-Size" in the title has a double meaning for this set. The comic aficionados among you will be aware that Giant-Size X-Men #1, from 1975, was the first appearance of the "new" X-Men. It featured the first appearance of characters like Colossus, Nightcrawler, Storm, and Thunderbird. Wolverine was, at that time, a c-list character hardly anyone had heard of, only appearing in two issues of the Incredible Hulk prior to that comic. Giant-Size X-Men #1 was the genesis of the X-Men's dominance of Marvel comics and comics in general for decades.
"Giant-Size," though, refers not only to a pivotal point in the history of the X-Men, but also to some very big Heroclix pieces that will be part of this set. In addition to the regular 5-piece booster packs that are familiar to Heroclix fans, but this set will also feature superboosters. Superboosters are big enough to fit colossal figures with 2x2 bases. For older fans of the game, that means we will be getting figures the same size as the old Sentinel, the Sinestro construct, and Dark Phoenix in blind boosters! There are reportedly 8 different colossal figures in Giant-Size X-Men, so you will still get that sense of mystery when opening boosters. In addition to the colossal figures, some superboosters will, instead of a colossal, feature a special team, with deluxe sculpts.
Traditional Heroclix bricks contain 10 booster packs. The Giant-Size X-Men bricks will contain 8 regular boosters and 1 superbooster.
Here's who we know will be in Giant-Size X-Men:
Cyclops
Wolverine
Gambit
Colossus
Phoenix (Jean Grey)
Storm
Emma Frost
Nextwave, Agents of H.A.T.E. (Monica Rambeau, Boom-Boom, The Captain, Machine Man, and Elsa Bloodstone)
Colossal figures:
- Sentinel (at least one version, but likely more than one)
- Apocalypse
I'll keep you updated as more word comes in.

Yeah, Zach, I did. There was a recent trade show in which Wizkids was giving information for upcoming products and there were a few people there who took pictures and posted all the information they heard and saw on HCRealms. I love that place.
Here's the link to the thread where I got the info:

If you look around, you'll see a bunch of other thread have already started on the topic. My posts are under the username "Hatut Zeraze."

It's been a few months since I posted here, but with all the hype about DC75, there wasn't a ton of regular news about Giant-Size X-Men. There has been some info trickling out here and there, so I thought I'd collect the known stuff here for you guys, since we can now fully focus on this set.
Confirmed to be in the set:
Regular Figures
Armor
The Captain (Nextwave)
Elsa Bloodstone (Nextwave)
Mindless Ones (generic)
Cyclops
Emma Frost
Wolverine/Colossus duo (Fastball Special!)
Gambit
Iceman
Magneto
Mystique
Phoenix (Jean Grey - This one could be a super-booster fig - not sure yet)
Storm
Stryfe
Super-Booster Figures
Apocalypse
Nemesis
Onslaught
Sentinel Mk V (There are supposed to be two different kinds of Sentinels in this set. I assume they are both super-booster figures, but that's not confirmed yet)
Buy-It-by-the-Brick Figure
Jamie Madrox
???? - Not sure yet
Wolverine & Colossus
- We know these guys are in the set, but we don't know if they will be getting individual figures in addition to the duo we already know about.
Monica Rambeau, Aaron Stack, Boom-Boom
- The other members of Nextwave that are presumably in the set, but have not yet been confirmed.
Full disclosure: This information is all gathered from Suttkus's excellent thread on HCRealms. For those who want to check out his thread with links to sources and pics, here's a link to that thread....

Big news on the GSX set hit this week. If you aren't a regular on HCRealms you might have missed that the set poster has been leaked. The set poster only includes the regular-sized figures, none of the super-booser colossals.
Follow this link to see the pictures:

By my reckoning, here is now what our list looks like:
Regular Figures
001 Madrox (same sculpt but different dial from the Jamie Madrox BibtB figure below)
002 Purifier
003 Omega Prime Sentinel
004 Hellfire Club Guard
005 Mindless One
006 Skullbuster
007 Pretty Boy
008 Cyclops
009 Wolverine
010 Beast
011 Emma Frost
012 Cypher
013 Empath
014 Roulette
015 Tabitha Smith (Boom Boom!)
016 Aaron Stack (Machine Man!)
017 ??
018 Caliban
019 William Stryker
020 Harry Leland
021 Tarot
022 Cannonball
023 Psylocke
024 Gideon
025 ????
026 Leech
027 Siryn
028 Elsa Bloodstone
029 Monica Rambeau (Captain Marvel / Photon!)
030 Rogue
031 Angel
032 Ch'od
033 The Blob
034 Pyro
035 Mystique
036 Professor X
037 Gatecrasher
038 Iceman
039 Lockheed
040 Sabretooth
041 Stryfe
042 Predator X
043 Trevor Fitzroy
044 Bonebreaker
045 Vulcan
046 Juggernaut
047 Phoenix
048 Storm
049 Archangel
050 Armor
051 Hulk (Apocalypse Horseman)
052 Wolverine (Apocalypse Horseman)
053 Magneto
054 The Captain (NEXTWAVE!)
Super-Booster Figures
Apocalypse
Nemesis
Onslaught
Sentinel Mk V
Buy-it-by-the-Brick figure (BibtB)
Jamie Madrox (same sculpt as regular figure #1, Madrox, but different dial)
Misc.
- Colossus/Wolverine Fastball Special
Not sure if this one is one of the missing pieces (#17 or #25) or possibly an LE figure that comes with the prize packs.
- Gambit
He is on the box art, which means he is definitely in the set. He is probably either #17 or #25.
- Sentinel
There is likely a second Sentinel, a variation, also available in the Super-Boosters. He should be the 5th of 6 colossal figures. That means there is still one mystery figure we don't yet know about.
- At one point Wizkids was going to have some of the super-boosters have teams of characters in them, instead of colossals. It sounds like late into the process they cancelled that idea. All super-boosters now are supposed to have colossals. I wonder, though, what that means for the team pieces originally scheduled to be in those superboosters. If those figures have been designed and sculpts were paid for and created, then Wizkids won't likely waste those. Will they appear as part of the prize kit? Will they be part of an upcoming battlepack? Keep in mind that I am assuming such figures were created. That is not confirmed.

Woo! We got a copy of the poster sent to the store. We put it up so everyone can take a look. There are a lot of great-looking pieces. You won't even have to be an X-Men fan to be impressed with this stuff.
By the way, #17 has turned out to be Domino and #25 is Elixir.
It looks like March 16th will be the release date. It's going to be a long couple months waiting for this.
