The Marvel Heroclix expansion, Web of Spider-Man, releases on Wednesday, September 8th.

Merlyn's is holding a release day booster draft tournament at 5 pm. This special draft game won't have a point total. Each player buys 1 Web of Spider-Man booster pack and then the players sit down together and perform a draft. At the end of the draft, each person plays the team they end up with, regardless of point total.

Sure, the teams will be unbalanced, but it will be a great first day to get used to the new pieces, all of which will get played.

For those unfamilar with drafts, here's how it will work: After all players buy a booster pack, they are randomly seated at a table. All players then open their packs at the same time. Each person then picks one piece out of their booster, and then passes the booster with the remaining 4 figures to the person on their left. Each player then picks one figure out of the booster passed to them before passing the remainder of that booster to the left. This continues until the boosters have all been emptied. Each player will then have 5 figures, just not the 5 that came out of their original booster. These are the ones they keep and take home. These are the ones they will play in the booster tournament.
