Warhammer 40k is a fun and challenging miniature table-top game involving army battles set in a futuristic fantasy space realm. Sounds interesting? If you can roll dice, do some simple math, use a ruler and do some painting...you're in for an awesome experience! There are a ton of armies to chose from with different abilities and advantages, just to name some: Space Marines, Orcs, Eldar, Chaos, Tyranids, Tau, and Necrons. They come from different racial backgrounds, different planets, and all have very different ways they fight in battle. Transport vehicles, weaponry, and a few tricks up the sleeve add to every battle making each one unique! The game is played on a physical board you can create (or use at Merlyn's) with terrain and obstacles. Using a point system and a value for each miniature added to your army, total army point battles usually range from 500-2,000 points! Using your army's codex book (army manual) you are able to see what each type of miniature figure does, how much it costs points wise, and what works well with each other when building your army! WH 40k is an awesome and unique game to play with friends, or if you are up for a challenge to play in a tournament!
