Merlyn's Pokemon League and Free Play

As of 01/24/10, Merlyn's will be hosting Pokemon TCG free play on Sundays at 1:00. We are in the process of receiving official sanctioning and prize support, and as soon as we can we'll change the free play day to an official league. We're also looking at running official tournaments, so stop by and let us know if you are interested!

This sounds like a lot of fun. Any chance of tournaments for the video game as well?

Probably not tournaments, as I haven't seen any kind of store kit for those, but the leagues have a whole track just for video game play, with DS skins and such for rewards.

I was at the Pokemon TCG State Championships yesterday in Seattle and saw on the list of leagues posted for the State of Washington this new league here. I'm quite surprised to say the least, and curious of your motives.

My name is Robert; perhaps you remember me and my friend Michael as the League Owners of that Pokemon League held back around October of 2008. I'm still a Pokemon League Owner in this town, but of course at another place.

I helped hold a huge Cities tournament at a place down the street around January of this year, around the time it would seem people started asking you about Pokemon and such. I do remember leaving your store on a unfortunately bitter note due to a disagreement between the players and the store, so expect me to be at your store pretty soon. Maybe we can work something out?

Hey Robert,

I'm not sure I remember you. But Pokemon is one of our better selling games, and we have some people that want to play down here. Your welcome to join us if you like. And any regular or new customers are welcome to join us as well. Maybe talk to Steve here at the Store for details. He is usually here wed-sun afternoons. I think he is planning stuff sundays at 1pm. I know we have a bunch of cool prizes as well to give out.
