Has anyone else played this gem? I got it about a year ago and I've been hooked on it ever since, the sheer variety of gladiators and skills just astounded me and it is a total blast to play (even comes in co-op and versus mode). Better yet, I've heard tell that they're planning on a sequel on the next gen consoles.

www.gladius.com. Pretty cool site but it hasn't been updated in a while (understandably).
I'm such a sucker for that Greco\Roman stuff.

I LOVE THIS GAME! It was one of the first that I picked up when I finally bought a PS2 and I have never regretted it once. It combines 2 things that I love dearly: Gladiators and turned based tactical RPG's ala Shining Force.
My personal favorite tactic (though not always effective) was the wolf pack. Watching the chain of free attacks go off as soon as one of your gladiators hits is just so fun!
