Ya, no problem. We're always happy, and eager to teach new players, cause after you play against the same four people for a while, its' hard to come up with new surprises for your opponenet. lol. Glad to know there might be some fresh faces around.

One of the best things to do is to sell the ork sprues from the set to another new player. Might start a new post and see if someone will trade you their marines so you bothe get further. But, first thing I'd start doing is plowing thru that mini-rulebook you get. and before you glue special weapons to your guard, you may want to test them in games first because some of their things are a bit... counter-intuitive.

Yeah, Ive read the books a lot. Maybe too much, haha. I have lots of theories but no practice. Id like to run with the space marines first, since theyre a complete force technically. Then learn and such. I should get rid of them orks. I already assembled them, and I think 2 or so are primed. We'll see.

I have a friend who plays orks and might be interested in them, and another buddy of mine runs guard and would be happy to walk you through a couple games there's also a great podcast i listen to at www.40kwarcasting.wordpress.com that has some great stuff explaining armies and some good lists/tactics.

Ill have to look at that. Podcasts are fun, haha. And I love learning. Do you guys do flavored campaigns at all? Or are they normall just one-shot "skirmish" matches? And yeah, im willing to let my orks go, haha.

We normally just get together and throw down a random match. We have almost all the expansion books and supplements too, but haven't done a whole lot with them. Tried a campaign once, but we needed a better method of runnin it.

My friend Andy runs Tyranids and Chaos Space Marines, ... and is considering Eldar as well. 4 yrs.
Tom runs Imp Guard and Space Wolves and has almost all the supplements 4 yrs.
Casey runs Orks and has recently started Blood Angels 2 yrs.
and I run Space Marines and have just in the last month started a Tau army. 3 yrs.
A couple of their brothers play on occation runnin anything from Oks to Necrons, and we've done a tournement here or there, but mostly stick to pickup games amoungst our own group.
