I just got gimp about 2 weeks ago and I've been making sigs for random people, please give your honest option...I know I need a LOT of improvement lmao.

as a recovering sig maker (see? ive barely got a sig now! must.. fight... urges!!) i dig what you've done there. and for 2 weeks with the gimp, i'd say you've got your bases covered, well done.

I generally prefer smaller sigs, rarely bigger than 500x120 at max, usually 400x110, just for a more tasteful appearance, depending of course on what I'm after.

The font on your personal sig seems a bit hard to read as purple against black. Also, whenever I use figures (be they random stock images or a screen capture from whatever mmo im making the sig for) i usually use my Wacom and shade and highlight the figure to give them a heightened sense of realism, especially with game characters.

no way, you have much more color than mine. I've been a photographer for a few years now, so i tend to look at tones and gradients too much when i'm working in photoshop (or gimp)

and the new text colour in your sig is perfect, both matches the background and stands out from it.

Well thank you but yours has much better effects. I still suck at blending the characters in.

that's just the shading/highlighting i was referring to.

I didn't quite get the shadow thing (guess it'd just not my style) but I made a new one & I think the demon guy cleaned up pretty well...but it still needs work
