Merlyn's is running a new painting competition!
We're restricting entries to one per person, small minis only. This means that your entry will need to fit inside a 3" cube. Additionally, you may not enter a mini that has been previously entered in a Merlyn's painting contest. There is no entry fee.
Entries must be received by 9:00 on April 18th, and judging will occur on the 19th. The entries will be judged by several groups, including store staff, customers, and players in the Warhammer 40k tournament sheduled for that day. Entrants do not need to be in the store to win, but if they wish to vote for their entry they should stop by.

Well folks, it was a close vote, but we do have a winner.
Judging was split into three parts, with customers voting for 25% of the score, players in Sunday's 40k tournament voting for 25%, and store employees voting for 50%.
The customer voting was tied until the very end, with the final vote cast at 5:29 tipping the balance 13-12 in favor of Ron Hatch's model over Dale Thomas's.
Player voting was more decisive, with Bob Kelley's entry clearly coming out ahead of Jeremy Bergem's.
The staff vote was run a little differently. Because of the small group size, we had each employee give us a ranked top three and averaged the scores. Unfortunately, the averaged numbers were exactly equal between Ron's and Bob's minis. The tie was broken by comparing the number of first place votes: while Bob's mini had a consistant score, more people liked Ron's the best.
Final Standings are:
1st place: Ron Hatch winning $10 in credit
2nd place: Bob Kelley winning $5 in credit
Honorable mentions: Jeremy Bergem and Dale Thomas for finishing at close seconds in the Players and Customers votes. Jeremy and Dale can claim one free drink or snack on their next visit to the store.
Entries should be picked up this week during store hours.
Stay tuned for pictures!
