There's probably also a few more like me, who plan to be here, but can't be certain enough of viability to commit until much closer to the actual event. (Perhaps not until the very day of the challenge.) So it could be a pretty good sized crowd. Great change from last year when there was nothing at all locally organized!

I'll be there! I'll be coming over from Redmond, but I have family in Spokane so I'm going to make a weekend of it. I tried to get a local shop to do it, but they weren't really up for it so it's a good excuse to visit good old Spokane.

I'm planning on doing a variation on the 24 hour comic that I call a "Working Day Comic". All the rules for the 24 hour comic hold (so it's still a valid 24 hour comic) with a 2 more requirements:

1) You can only work 8 hours on the comic (no overtime).
2) You can take up to a 1 hour break that does not count towards your 8 hours.

So if you're like me and love the idea of 24 hour comics but don't want to do 24 hours straight without sleep, feel free to give my variation a try.

Here is some important information in regard to the 24 Hour Comics Day:
Location: Merlyn's19 W Main Ave, Spokane, WA 99201
Date: Saturday, October 20, 2007
Start time: 12:00 pm (Noon)

Things you will need:

• Pencils, eraser, & etc.
• Snacks
• Small cooler (permitted for your own drinks)
• Coffee Mug (drink container with lid)
• Personal items (medication, & etc)
• Money (food orders)
• Share your movies, tapes, and CDs. 1 or 2 (labeled) items only. There will be plenty on hand.
• Ride home from a non-participating friend

Things you will not need:

• Paper:
Canson paper distributor has donated Comic Book paper for the event
through Spokane Art Supply. Each artist will be given 24 sheets.

Items that will be provided:

• WIRED energy drinks (2 cases donated)
• Tables & Chairs
• VCR / DVD player
• CD / tape player
• Movies / Music
• Microwave
• 2 coffee pots
• bathroom
