L5r Meetings and Tourneys

Well I am reposting the info for the L5r nights and tourneys.

We meet everyother saturday right now at 6:00 pm. We tend to play current edition as it is more balanced and its what the majority wish to play. You are welcome to play open if you want and someone is willing to play against you. We want to focus on fun competetive play, not on how best to cheese your opponent. Its a game and we meet up to have fun and enjoy it.

The tournement scene is a little hazy right now, I am working on singing up for a tourney but the tourney organizer stuff is being revamped right now so I hope to have a tourney soon.

There will be a Lotus edition tourney on 7/28/2007.

Samurai edition cards are not legal for tourney play until 30 days after the release date. So fyi no Samurai edition cards.

I was talking to Jon and he informs me that we are signed up for the Sword tournement for the release of Samurai Edition. So as soon as we know when it will happen we will let everyone know.

Keep an eye on the L5R forums for info on upcoming tournaments and play nights. There are usually people playing every couple of weeks on saturday nights.

L5R Samurai Edition release date of July 25th, they are planning on it shipping on monday 23rd to july 25th. So if we have the stuff to do it we could do the release tourney on the 28th, if not we will schedule it around the time Merlyns get the stuff in.

Do to the potential size of the tourney the official start time is changed to 5:00 pm for this Saturdays Samurai edition release tourney. Please post to let us know you read this. We will be handing out decks at 5 and you will have 30 minutes to construct a deck.

I changed the time as well on the news item to 5pm. PLEASE spread the word that it is at 5pm on saturday!!

Great turn out today. We shall have a lotus extended tourney in 2 saturdays. Lotus extended allows any Lotus edition cards through Samurai edition. See ya all there.

Had a great turnout this last saturday. We will not have another tourney in two weeks as I will be on my honeymoon. There will be a tourney in 3 saturdays.

We are signed up for a Stronger than Steel pre-release, I will let you know which weekend we will be running it.

We are scheduled for a Stronger than Steel pre-release, I am planning on running it on 09/22.

Edit: Pre-release tourney on the 22nd of september, only 12 spots available.

I'm new to this site and just read about the upcoming StS prerelease tourney on the 22nd. I attended this store's Samurai Release tourney and enjoyed myself immensely. How many of the twelve spots are still available for entry, and how much does the tournament cost? I'm very much interested in attending this. Thanks for your time and attention.
