Idea I am only a so-so painter, but some of you guys are really good. Why don't you set up a day and time for new guys to be shown how to do washes and dry brushing, to bring out the detail. The techniques some of you use are really nice and I am sure we would all like to see your techniques you use. I would like to be a better painter!!!
Thanks

I'm in the same boat. If anyone sets up a "painting clinic" I would definitely attend.

There are some great painting tips on www.classicbattletech.com 's forum. Its for Battletech, but the methods mentioned can be used for anything. A mini is a mini right. They also have things on basing and terrain building. Also hints for kit-bashing minis as well.

On a side note, I think a painting section on here would be cool. Also feel free to email me and I would be glad to give advice. I am a decent-good painter and would be more than happy to help!

BTW: flndr79 @ yahoo.com is the email.

I try to show up on wednesdays to paint down at merlyns, I am pretty good but not a top notch painter. I would be happy to give out some tips and help if anyone is interested. This wednesday I will be down there all evening doing stuff if anyone wanted to show up.

I didn't realise we could use the store for painting too. n00b! I myself am an average painter, with a +1 bonus on green, from a orc/ork/dark angel/wood elf background

Yo.

I'm told that my painting is pretty good, though I am loathe to believe it myself. However, I am down here between 1 and close on both Saturdays and Sundays and would be more than willing to give you some advise.

I hope to get back in the habit of running games again. When I do I would be glad to help out anyone with painting questions

You guys have sent me links that have really helped. THANKS!

My first mini was "okay" but my second got some ooohs and ahs from both gamers and non-gamers alike. I'm getting pretty confident, but I'm too impatient for this sort of thing. I just can't crank 'em out like the rest of you guys. In the end, that's what impresses me the most. Your armies multiply like rabbits. Very Happy

One of the greatest miniature painting resources is CMON www.coolminiornot.com you can learn so much just browsing that site, also it's populated by multiple Golden Daemon winners (and winners of multiple Golden Daemons!)
Any site that Jeremie Bonamant Tebout posts work in progresses and gives tips, in addition to tons of other very helpful pro's (and members of 'Eavy Metal) is pretty handy!
