Well, my three newbies blew me off today, but I got down to the store anyway and watched Evan and Jeremiah play King of the Hill. I talked over the rules a bit with them and answered some questions. I attempted to help them while they played, but think I merely annoyed them.
I will try this again in either 2 or three weeks from now. I will also bring paint and basing material to go over some tips on how to do this cheap, easy and above all nice looking. So figure 30-45 minutes of paint and base tips and then 30-45 minutes of demo work on how FoW works.
Then I hope to play a game or help some new players play a game against each other.
Chris

Never is a long time, anyone can beat anyone else on any given day. The dice can be unlucky, the forces can be mismatched, the map can be wrong, your thoughts could be on other things.
That is why we play. IF I knew I would always win, I would never bother playing. I like dice because I don't know what they will roll.
I gave you ideas on tactics, not tricks. Use your opponents position to limit is fields of fire. He cannot shoot thru his own units generally, he cannot see thru a smoke bombardment. Position your AA so they cover your vital troops, when you move vehicles there is no point in bunching them up use the template after each is moved so that you can be sure only 1 is under a template.
I just made you think about little things as you moved. No tricks, just treats.
