Has everyone seen the latest army lists by FOW Staff (LATE WAR). Check out the point costs. 2-Tigers-430 points. We are going to see multiple tigers now. 3-Shermans-205 points or 5 for 345. Panzer fausts and panzer schrecks are cheap, 10 and 40 points. Panzer 4 Hs- 95 points and Panzer 3 Ms- 70 points. 2-Brumbars for 140 points And so on. Point is armor for both sides is alot cheaper. Think about what they have been telling us. Combined arms, but what prices did they really drop? ARMOR. Infantry stayed about the same. AT guns got cheaper. Sales should really go up for them with the cheapness of armor. Am I saying some of this may be driven by sales, YES!! When 80% of the forces involved in WW2 were infantry, our game reflects very little of the norm. We can add all kinds of terrain and restrictions, but when I can buy a platoon of Tanks for less then a infantry platoon, I can tell you what most people will do. MORE ARMOR, SWARMS NOW OF ARMOR. Used to be only the russians could do it, but now most allies can and with the decrease in german prices, it also makes it easier to add more for them. Will it be a better game, we will see, one thing, it will be faster.

What sounds good to me is a mechnignized grenaider force with tons of tanks in suppourt. That would be fun. By the way, when would you like to play that civil war game terry, sorry if im bugging you about it.

Evan, I am looking at about 2 weeks before I am gaming again. We can find a time then and fight a ACW battle. Its fun and a blood bath. Its comes down to whos brigades break first as who wins.

Do you think that everyone will switch over to late war for a while? I am going to get the book, but I dont know if i will have enough money to buy things that are late only.

I am sure we will play late war when everyone has enough points. Alot of the mid war stuff is already in late war, you just get more of it. With Tigers cheaoer, you will see multiple Tigers now. Panthers will be cheaper. We can play your PZ4s as Hs, so you will have late war Panzer 4s. Infantry are the same just buy panzerfausts. You really don't need the model yet. Panzer schrecks will be like Bazooka Teams on there own stand if I understand right. So really we can just designate some of your tanks for late war or how about 4 Tigers for 800 points supported by Panzer grenadiers with panzerfausts, Artillery and AA. Sounds like a fun force to play. Or alot of Panzer 4s with Grenadiers, Add Armored cars,really cheap, artillery and AA. I have alot of german armor we can add to yours until you get more. It sounds fun. I will be adding T-34 85s as soon as they come in. So there will be alot of 85mm fire to slow you down, I hope.
