I'm looking to start up a new gaming group to meet every other Sunday. We'd start midafternoon and go until we're tired of gaming (probably around midnight-1:00 am).

The game in question is D&D 3.5. I'd prefer experienced gamers, but novices are definitely welcome. As of this post, the group consists of me (28 years gaming experience) and a novice player. I'm also looking for others who can DM from time to time. I'm looking for a total number of players of not more than 6, including myself.

The initial meeting/game will probably take place at Merlyn's then move to another (home) location and involve character creation/acceptance, etc. We will be starting at 1st level.

If you have any questions or are interested, please post a reply here, and we'll go from there.

I'm interested (and have years of experience, but I haven't played in about 3 years), but I work 3rd shift, so would have to make sure I get to work by 10PM.

I take it, then, that you would have to leave at around 9 pm? That would give us about 6 hours of gaming, if so. I'll confer with my other (now two) players and see if that'll work; I know I and one other would prefer to go longer, but the third might be limited in her time, also.

Either way, I'll get back to you with an answer in a few days....

As it turns out, 9 pm (or so) would probably work better for the one I thought would want to go longer (lol), so it looks like that would work just fine.....which would put our group at 3 (counting you) with a possible fourth, and one more who should be able to make it most of the time. I'm hoping we'll get at least one more (preferably two more) soon so we can get things up and running....

OKAY, is there anyone else interested in starting with this group? As it stands, we have 5 people: me, three other dedicated players, and a fourth who should be able to make it most of the time, depending on her schedule. We'll play every other Sunday between 3 and 9 pm (roughly), with the initial session being at Merlyn's on Oct 29th between 3 and 7 pm (when Merlyn's closes), and involving character creation/character approval. After that, the games will move to my place, with the possibility of a rotation of other places if anyone else is willing to open up their homes.

If still interested, I'm considering October 12th at 4 pm at Merlyn's for an initial meet; I'll consult with the others that are offline and see what they think; or, we could schedule some time within the next two weeks to meet and go through the character-building process then, if that is preferable.

Well, it looks like this idea was a flop. The couple who had initially wanted to play have pulled out, citing other obligations; therefore, I'm no longer looking to start my own gaming group.


IF, on the other hand, anyone knows of a group that games every other Sat/Sun afternoon (D&D 3.0/3.5), I'd be MORE than interested in joining. I've over 2 decades of gaming experience...

What sort of games do you prefer? I DM 3.5, and i'm thinking of getting a group started... but I'm also something of a story/character-junkie.

Im interested as well and sunday nights are perfect for me, even if I work i get off no later than 3 - 3:30. Also i have a rather large basement I intended for gaming id offer as a location. If your still looking to start a game up let me know.
