Chris, I talked to John at Merlyns and he said we could change the date of Merlyns Tourny so more people could come. Myself, I am out of town and would like to play. Could we change to September 16th. It would give us more time to organize a regional qualifier. I talked to Steve Tinsley winner of the best General award at Origins and he says the qualifier can be early, mid or late war. Only Origins will be late war. So you would need a late war army. We could find out who would like to go to Origins and put the best finisher of those wanting to go as the Origins qualifier. It sounds like that is Oklahomas solution. Let me know what you think. There are several other people out of town on August 26 who would like to play. It would separate the Tournies a bit.

Moving the tournament at Merlyn's is purely John's perogative. I will support his decision. Especially if it gives us a chance to make it a qualifier. I have tons of questions into Chris at BF USA. Hopefully, when he gets back in tomorrow he will answer them.

I like the idea that OK is doing. Sounds appropriate. Still seems to be bending the rules of what a qualifier is and what an invitational only national tournament is supposed to be.

Oh well, as long as all the people from this area that want to go, have a chance then I am ok with it.

When I talked to john today, he thought he would leave it to us. We know the people and he wants the best Tourny possible. So between you and I we know just about all the gamers. If you are all right with it and the people I talked to liked it, then lets go with Sept 16TH.

Terry,

When we meet on Thursday we can talk about it with some of the others. I don't have a problem with it.

That would be awsome!! I would then be able to attend. So now you guys have 1 more player. Terry, are you going to the hobbytown tourny, i might not because of the entry fee, and I dont want to be bothersome to chris borrowing a few tanks.

If I am there it is no bother to loan you some units. You coming up with the $20 is going to be the hard part. Especially when that $20 could buy you some nice tanks at Merlyn's instead and put you that much closer to finishing your army.

Evan, I just can't bring myself to support Hobby Town and there philosophy towards gamers. Matt has been really after people to buy his stock, like its our fault we have our armies. I will probably stop by just to see who is playing, but only to watch. I think it sends the wrong message if we support the 20.00 entry.

I will only go to the hobby town game, if i cant go to the merlyns tourny. As chris said, that 20$ could get me started on my russians. I have enough cash to finish my germans, tomarow when we game I am going to buy what I need and do everything else. I just finished a strelkovy company, and once i grap osterfront, I am going to make a russian tank force with those infatantry, to add suppourt to them. Cant wait till thursday, see you guys there.
