If you are going to attend the game on thursday, ( right now looks like 4 people) this is the place to get things orginized. I am new to FOW but have played a 1E battle with terry before. Terry said that on thursday at 10:00 he will be arriving at merlyns setting up the battle field. I will be arriving at 11:00 with my panzer company.

Now.... about 2E, i do not have the minie rulebook yet. If i come down and play i do not know how much knowledge of 2E i will have. But i have a quick question, Did the stats change drastically in 2E? Terry, if they did, would it not be to much trouble for you to give me the stats to my army list. Thanks for everything!!

I have a growing U.S. armor company which I will be bringing on Thursday. I should be there before noon (I will try for 11, but I work nights and getting up too early is sometimes difficult).
As for stats, I'm not too sure on what (if anything) has changed (as far as armor, ROF, and that sort of thing), but I do know that point values have changed, so you may need to check through one of the new books (Ostfront or Afrika) and get the new points values.
I also have not actually played using 2E rules (and I have only played once with 1E), so I am a real newbie. There are 2 of us for sure with the possibility of up to 4 more playing Wednesday night at Hobbytown in case anyone wants to show up.

I am also planning to be there on Thursday morning. I think the plan is to work thru the way 2e works. Try it quickly with armor so we can cruise thru some games and situations.

I will bring a Soviet Tank force and a German Grenadier force with Arty and Air. I have the minirulebook but have not received my copy of Ostfront. I am using some of the proofreading material to put together some lists. They are the best I can do without Ostfront.

My four variable lists will be:

HQ T34 42 with AA trucks and Tanko
7 T34 with 3 having 57mm's and all having Tanko's
8 T70 42
5 Stuart
5 BA10M

Next list if I face a player with heavies
Same amount of T34's same HQ same T70's same BA's but drop the stuarts and add 2 85mm AA with loading crews

Next list in case I face infantry has the above but drop BA's, a T70 and 85's and add 3 KV1E's with tankos

Last list is my cheeze lists. Start whining now.

T70 42 HQ
7 T70 42
5 Stewart
3 KV 85's
4 SU 85's

or with 4KV1s instead of the KV-85's. Depends on if I need the xtra oomph.

I havn't got my grens figured yet. but I could easily convert any of the above forces to 2000 or higher just let me know ahead of time and I will bring some tank riders, Katya's, arty, etc. Or a full blown Motor strelk force or even Strelk force.

My friend let me borrow the minie rulebook, and i am halfway through it. I will have at least one full read through the book by the game on thursday.

I have been reading versions of the minirulebook for three months. It still doesn't mean I know anything about how to apply the rules. You have to just sit down and play with many people to get a good feel for how the new rules work.

I still have not received Ostfront yet. So my lists are made from my proof copies of the pdf's for the old books. So I do not even know how accurate my above lists are. But, they are the best I can do.

Just returned from moving my sister. Did a 2,000 mile drive in 25 hours to Tulsa Oklahoma. See you guys have everything going. Good! I will be at merlyns at 10 and everyone show up as you can. I will set up a large double table and we can use what ever room we need. There will be alot of terrain as the this was stressed at origins. The FOW staff wants to see more terrain on US boards. We will play and go over rules. Learning for everyone. Anyone else who would like to show up and take part is welcomed. Terry
