I was wondering what your guys armies are like?

Mine

5 Panzer III J lates
1 Tiger
Understrength Panzer greneider Platoon
1 Panzer III H
1 Panzer IV f2
1 Panzer IV E

Small army, i know but i have net yet checked out 2nd E. I may take a tank or two out to add in some heavy anti air because i heard that in 2nd E, Air suppourt can be even more deveastating! Shocked

Evan, Lets look at your list.
Pz3s-CnC,2iC--210 points
Pz3s-Late------315 points
Mixed Pz 4s----415 points
Tiger-----------385 points
3 squad Inf Plat.-155 points
So you have good punch, good mobility., can dig in on an objective and can attack either front.
Now ask your self, can I defend against air? Can I move to a objective and hold it? Can I take losses? You have 4 platoons, if you divide the table in attacking thirds, can you attack and or defend the 3 fronts with some type of reserve. Four platoons is very thin, but lets play a game and see what you think. Whats your schedule this weekend? Terry

Terry when i made this post i was getting my 5 panzer III j's that you said i should get. But when the parent that was driving could no longer take us up to hobby town to get what we needed (my friend is finishing up making his us force). So i now dont have the tanks. I may go up to merlyns today, but they only have 1 or 2 of these tanks. I might mix some things up a bit, because money is not to huge of a problem. Thanks for everything!

I went down to merlyns today, and now I have all of the figures i need. I am painting them right now. I have modified my army to the new points system by using the osterfront book at merlyns to help me. I did not go with solid panzer j's..... BUT i have another mixed panzer platoon, and I might my command only one panzer, and go with a 3 squad panzer grenaider platoon, also i have a 2 gun artillery battery. One of the tanks i bought, i later figured out that it was early war, so i did not open it, and i am going to return it, or i will return it and grab another tank in its place making less panzergrenaiders. I now have more than 4 platoons! Cant wait to game!

Evan, Tried to get rid of the relatives but they are staying tell Monday. I can't get free. I have my russians all readyto go to play you. I have to go out of town this week so back on the 17th. Lets game for sure that week. Sorry for the delay. Use the time to get your troops ready. We will start using the new rules. Phil said he doesn't want the old rules used any more. So we might as well start on the new ones. Lets start with armor at first and work in the other arms as we get used to the rules. Terry

Okay, I should be fine though, I have 1490 point army, using the osterfront rule book at merlyns. So it had the new points system.
