Hi im an avid Magic player across teh way in Coeurdalene, Idaho and i had a few questions about ur Saturady t1 tourneys. We don't have any T1 tourny here so i wanted to know....

1. Is your T1 tourneys sanctioned?
2. if so..using current banned/restricted lists currently?
3. Any proxies allowed?
4. and this question more to the players...what is average turnout and is it pretty competitive?

1. All tourneys here are sanctioned as long as we have more than the 8 person minimum.

2. Yes, for all our tournaments all current Banned/Restricted lists ARE used.

3. No proxies

4. As far as players go, I'm not here when the tourney starts, but it looks like we have had 2 events not happen in the last 2 months with the rest having between 8-14 players (most at 8-11).

yesterday we got 20 people, and most of us are very competitive.

Yea we have great type one competition with many competetive players that come to have a great time, not alot of us have power but its not power that makes the game as we all saw when i beat power oh ya in yo FACE CASEY EAT AFFINITY!!!! anyway biggest threats are combolicious decks and stacks though again we are very competitive though im kind of absent minded at .... alot of times!! but hey were here for the t 1 goodness

Sounds awsome i will definitly try and get over one of these Saturdays....I dont have power or anything but ill bring something crazy anyway.

just remember that they are saturday at 6:00, and bring friends.

Type one at Merlyn's, Saturdays at 6pm. We have not had 8 for a sanctioned evnt lately, but if we get everyone, it would be official.

i heard from a friend that you guys dont allow artifact based decks lik affinnity/arcbound combos/equipment etc.? is this true?

no. we dont restrict certain deck types. there hasnt been any type1 for a while now though. so the point is kind of moot.
