I don't get there thinking. Hobbytown just posted a Tourny on September 2nd. Thats fine. But they are asking for 20.00 entry fee. Hey what happened to getting new players and young players into our hobby. 20.00 is alot of money for most young gamers. It says all the money goes to prizes. What it should say is " WE ARE TO CHEAP AND DON"T CARE ABOUT THE GAMERS AND WE WANT YOU TO PAY FOR THE PRIZES" I think this is a bunch of SH##, Support the hobby or get out or go to a store that does. That is my rant for the week.

$20 entry fee is exorbitant. If they run an official tournament the BF guys give some nice stuff for prizes. I don't understand what they are attempting to achieve. This makes no sense.

I am not going to be entering for that amount. Its great they wanted to have a big prize, but to charge that much just means you get no one to play. Quite sad really.

Oh well, perhaps we can run a counter function on the same day and possibly get some BF support so no money is charged for registration and the amount is not so incredibly high it prices out most of the players.

I am disappointed as well.

Chris, The national Tourny was only 10.00 to enter. I really don't get it. The players buy the prizes and the store makes 40% on the sale. Thats not support for our hobby!!!

All we can do is contact the powers that be at that shop and ask why? A local small tournament is a chance to get the new players out and drive up interest. Not to hit them with a huge cost, when they are barely scraping up the money to put armies together.
