Arrow Wanted to make sure that everyone knows that the next meet-up will be on Sunday February 22nd from 3 to 6pm.

Idea I was thinking about bringing some snacks, but some one mentioned last time maybe having a pot luck of sorts. I am willing to bring some taco meat and maybe refried beans or nacho cheese. I'd bring a crock-pot and keep it warm. yumm-o! If anyone would like to have like a nacho bar or taco salad type of thing.

If anyone is interested let me know. Maybe some one could bring the essential condiments; chips, salsa, olives , oooh i'll bring jalapenos, sour cream, lettuce. You know what ever anyone would want to throw on a taco salad or nacho plate.

If anyone new is interested in meeting up drop a line here on the forums, or you can email me at evilbutgood @ gmail.com. If anyone has any questions about the group I uaually work weekends, call us here at Merlyn's FRI/SATor drop a line at the previous email. Thanks Rachel

Has anyone else said they'd bring food items? I'll bring salsa and sour cream.
Do we have plates and utensils available at the shop?

Thank you for offering salsa and sour cream. That would be great.

Yes there will be plates and untensils. I'm looking forward to a taco fiesta kind of night. Laughing

Just a quick reminder that the next meeting is Sunday March 22nd 2009, at Merlyn's 3:00pm. I've been trying to think of a theme for each meeting. Any Ideas would be helpful. Or if we don't want to do themes. I was thinking of stuff like, oldschool art, bring in a piece of art work 5 yrs or older to show some progression in your work. I don't know, any Ideas?

Maybe there could be a quick sketch. Something like pick a topic and have evryone draw a character or whatever. Also I've seen where there is a random item and each artist draws thier own comic themed idea. You'd think that's how The Waffler came be, in Mystery Men. Just a thought. Confused

Just a quick reminder the next meeting for local comicartist and writers is Sunday April 19th 3:00pm Merlyn's.

Also on the 18th some of us are going to this:

Graphic Novels
From Post-It Notes to Publisher

Saturday, April 18 1 - 2 pm
Spokane Club
Eric Anderson and Manny Trembley are Spokane-based graphic novelists. Their webcomic, PX!, turned into two graphic novels, A Girl and Her Panda, which was nominated for two 2008 Eisner Awards, and In the Service of the Queen (released Jan 2009). They will talk about the process of writing and publishing in the graphics world.

Is anyone interested in going to this?
