I have a friend that is becoming interesting in Flames of War due to the fact he loves WW2. I am gonna take him along with me next Sunday (10th)to get a taste of the game. So... who else is coming?

I just wanted to thank you and Evan for the game on Sunday, it was great fun and I learned a lot! Looking forward to playing again.

Sorry everyone stayed home. Bill and I played a great game of HTL with Soviet Infantry (me) attacking dismounted Armored Infantry US (Bill). The game was lots of fun with the Soviet Infantry led by the assaults of the Strahf company taking the objective on turn 6. This was only possible as Bills reserves rolls failed him. He rolled a single 5+ on 15 rolls. So a reserve on turn three and nothing else.

Bill learned how to successfully pull off a rolling defense. Shooting then pulling back as the hordes of Soviet Infantry rolled forward. He also learned that Fearless troops with rerolls (komissars) are very hard to stop.

He shot up my 29 team Strahf company to just 5 stands and they never missed their 2+ morale roll and took the objective. In the end he killed close to 70 stands and all I killed was 2 Stewarts, 7 teams in one platoon and 8 teams in another. The Stuarts had three bailed and two destroyed so had to take a morale test and failed. The first platoon had 7 losses of 13 and failed their test when the stand linking the platoon to the CO was killed in the round the reroll was needed.

So he killed 70 teams and I only killed 15 teams and 2 vehicles. His lt. mortars and priests worked havoc on the Reds. Time on Target causing the most casualties. Ranging in on a 2 is so much fun for the US arty.

Good Game Bill and that was a lot of fun playing with my Soviet Horde for the first time in over a year.

We should think about doing some weekday games......I know Sean is finished and I have one final left on wednesday.....what about the rest of you????

I am up for weekday games as well. Let me know which day is best for all of you this summer.

Mike Perry, used to play with us last summer but can't make weekend games as he is working. I know he would love to come down for more games midweek if possible.

I will call him and see when he can get free.
